Upbit opened Bifrost trading against the South Korean won and USDT on Sept. 10, giving BFC two additional markets on South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume. Deposits and withdrawals support only Bifrost Network, leaving transfers through unsupported blockchains ineligible for credit. Upbit restricted purchases and deeply discounted sell orders for approximately five minutes after launch initially. Only limit orders remained available during the first two hours of BFC trading on Upbit. Bifrost says its BTCFi protocol lets users mint BtcUSD against Bitcoin collateral for DeFi activity. Upbit scheduled BFC/KRW and BFC/USDT trading to begin at 13:45 Korea Standard Time, or 04:45 UTC, on Sept. 10. The exchange published the listing notice shortly before the planned opening. The announcement specified Bifrost Network as the only supported blockchain for BFC deposits and withdrawals.
