US investment-grade bond issuance hits seven-month high as 19 firms rush to market

Nineteen companies priced investment-grade bonds in the US on Monday, the most issuers to hit the market in a single day since January. That kind of crowded calendar doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when conditions are good enough that nearly two dozen corporate treasurers all reach the same conclusion at the same time: borrow now. The flurry of activity is the latest data point in what has become a historically aggressive year for investment-grade corporate debt. Through July 2026, IG issuance has reached $1,681 billion, according to data from the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. That represents a 26.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Why everyone showed up at once The timing is no coincidence.
