Washington has a new force, and it is not aimed at the sky this time. The Super Intelligence Force has 120 days to prepare a report on AI risks, according to Bloomberg. The force arrives alongside a renaming push, a voluntary industry pact, and a national security framing from the country’s top intelligence official. A new name, a new force, and a lot of deadlines On September 29, 2026, President Trump signed Executive Order 14434, which requires federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence,” or SI, instead of “AI” in official communications. The same order sets a second timer. Legislative language defining Super Intelligence must be proposed within 60 days, which puts the due date at approximately November 28, 2026. The Super Intelligence Force’s 120-day report runs on a longer track. Its job is to assess the risks these systems pose. The force itself was foreshadowed.
