Winklevoss twins spend over $2.9 million in a day to shape Ohio Senate race

The Winklevoss twins have picked a fight in Ohio, and they opened with a very large check. Their super PAC, the Digital Freedom Fund, disclosed more than $2.9 million in ad and mail spending in a single day, on or around September 30, 2026. The money targets the Senate race between Democrat Sherrod Brown and Republican Senator Jon Husted. It marks the PAC’s first major financial commitment in the contest. Where the money is going The spending is not a pure attack campaign. Half of the more than $2.9 million went toward supporting Husted, and the other half went toward opposing Brown.
