Wyoming adopts Chainlink system to strengthen FRNT reserve transparency

Wyoming just went all-in on Chainlink. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission announced on August 18 that it has completed migrating its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) from LayerZero’s Stargate bridge to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), with plans to expand the partnership to include on-chain reserve verification. The move makes Chainlink the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure provider for what is, by all accounts, the first fiat-backed stable token issued by a US public entity. It also represents a fairly pointed vote of no-confidence in LayerZero, the previous bridge provider. Security concerns drove the switch The Commission said its decision followed a comprehensive internal security review that flagged concerns about LayerZero’s operational security and disclosure practices. Wyoming didn’t mince words: it characterized Chainlink CCIP as “the sole solution” meeting all of its stringent requirements for cross-chain infrastructure. Nearly $15 billion in assets have migrated from LayerZero to CCIP, according to available data.
