Xaman wallet’s growth triggers XRPL node capacity fix

Xaman, the self-custodial wallet formerly known as Xumm, has grown fast enough to cause an actual infrastructure headache for the XRP Ledger. A fix is reportedly in the works to address the strain that the wallet’s rising account numbers are placing on XRPL node capacity. What’s happening with Xaman and the XRPL Xaman is built by XRPL Labs and serves as the primary self-custodial mobile gateway to the XRP Ledger and Xahau networks. It lets users create and manage XRPL accounts, execute transactions, set up trust lines, trade on the ledger’s built-in decentralized exchange, and interact with NFTs. The wallet keeps private keys stored entirely on-device, meaning users maintain full custody of their funds at all times. Growth has been substantial. An annual review snapshot showed roughly 735,000 active users, reflecting a 45.8% increase over the prior period.
