This is far from the first major accumulation spree initiated by Ripple whales lately. The company behind the token in question just announced, in a joint venture with Securitize, a smart contract to allow holders of BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL to exchange their shares to Ripple for RLUSD. Shortly after, popular analyst Ali Martinez outlined that XRP whales have gone on a buying spree as the asset experienced substantial volatility. RLUSD to Securitize’s Tokenization Platform The statement from both parties indicated that the new smart contract adds an additional stablecoin off-ramp for BUILD and VBILL tokenized short-term treasury funds. Both funds from the TradFi giants are their first tokenized products on public blockchains. Ripple said the new smart contract allows holders of BUIDL and VBILL to instantly exchange their shares for its native stablecoin (RLUSD) 24/7, which could unlock additional stable, on-chain transfers.
