50% of Nvidia employees have a net worth over $25M, survey finds

Most companies have a few employees who got rich from stock options. Nvidia apparently has an entire workforce of them. An internal survey conducted in June 2025 found that between 76% and 78% of Nvidia employees are millionaires, with roughly half of all staff carrying a net worth above $25 million. The survey covered approximately 3,000 employees. With Nvidia’s total workforce sitting somewhere between 36,000 and 42,000 people, that math translates to around 18,000 individuals who have crossed the $25 million threshold, largely on the back of company stock. How an obscure stock plan quietly minted thousands of millionaires The mechanism behind this wealth is less glamorous than it sounds: an employee stock purchase plan, or ESPP, that lets workers buy Nvidia shares at a 15% discount to market price. Nvidia overhauled the plan following the 2008 downturn, expanding access and improving terms for rank-and-file employees.
