Anthropic merges Claude Cowork and chat into unified “one Claude” with new Docs and Slides

Anthropic just made its clearest play yet for the productivity software market. The company is launching Claude Docs and Claude Slides, two new tools that let users create, edit, and export documents and presentations directly through Claude’s chat interface. Anthropic is merging its separate Claude Cowork mode and standard chat into a single unified experience it’s calling “one Claude.” Every productivity tool the platform offers, including the new launches, Artifacts, and Claude Design, is now accessible from any conversation. What Docs and Slides actually do Claude Docs is a collaborative document creation tool baked into the chat experience. Users can draft, edit, and refine documents without leaving the conversation where they started brainstorming. Claude Slides takes a similar approach for presentations. Users can build slide decks through natural language prompts, then present them directly within the interface or export them as PowerPoint or PDF files.
