Anthropic just locked in $13.7 billion worth of GPU services from Rum Group over six years, making it one of the largest compute deals ever signed by an AI company. The contract, centered on a data center currently under construction in Maysville, Georgia, cements Rum Group’s transformation from a video-sharing platform into a serious player in AI infrastructure. The deal was first disclosed in an SEC filing on August 24, 2026, but the mystery customer wasn’t named until mid-September.
