Arsenal is willing to spend up to €150 million, roughly £128 million, to pry Julián Álvarez away from Atlético Madrid this summer. The problem: Álvarez would rather go to Barcelona. The three-way deadlock Álvarez, 26, has made it known he wants to leave Atlético Madrid ahead of the 2026-27 season. His preferred destination is Barcelona, which would keep him in La Liga.
