Binance expands bStocks margin collateral to all eligible users

Binance just made its tokenized stocks a lot more useful. The exchange announced that bStocks, its line of tokenized US equities and ETFs, can now serve as collateral in Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin accounts for Regular and VIP 0-2 users, a feature previously locked behind VIP 3 status and above. What changed, and who gets access The expansion, dated September 21, 2026, effectively democratizes a feature that was previously reserved for Binance’s higher-tier customers. Before this update, only accounts classified as VIP 3 or above could pledge bStocks as margin collateral. Now the gates are open to the exchange’s broader user base. That said, Binance isn’t handing out leverage without guardrails. New entrants must complete a suitability questionnaire before gaining access, and their positions and liquidity will be subject to ongoing monitoring designed to reduce liquidation risks. Higher-tier VIP users face fewer of these additional controls. The supported products span Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin, and Portfolio Margin Pro, each with varying collateral ratios.
