Businesses invest £11B in Britain’s digital infrastructure as AI demand reshapes the UK economy

Britain’s digital infrastructure just had its biggest year ever. Businesses collectively poured more than £11 billion into UK data centres in 2025, driven almost entirely by the insatiable appetite for AI compute power.
