China prioritizes AI integration in public sectors over AGI breakthroughs

While Silicon Valley pours billions into the race toward artificial general intelligence, Beijing is making a different bet entirely. China’s latest policy framework centers on deploying AI technologies that already exist, pushing them into hospitals, classrooms, and government offices at a pace that would make most Western bureaucracies dizzy.
