Colosseum launches Crypto World’s Fair hackathon with $800K in prizes and $2.5M in funding

Colosseum, the platform behind some of crypto’s largest online hackathons, is going multi-chain. The company announced the Crypto World’s Fair, a cross-ecosystem hackathon offering over $800,000 in prizes and $2.5 million in venture funding, running online from September 14 to October 12. What builders are competing for The prize structure is layered in a way that rewards both specialization and general excellence. Dedicated tracks for ecosystems like Solana and Tempo each carry $100,000 prize pools, with Ethereum-related tracks collectively offering another $100,000. The total prize pool comes to roughly $840,000. A $30,000 grand prize sits at the top of the heap. Below that, $300,000 will be split among 20 projects, working out to about $15,000 each. There are also separate incentives for public goods and university-focused projects. Top-performing teams get a shot at joining Colosseum’s accelerator program, where each accepted team receives $250,000 in funding.
