Jamie Raskin, who is expected to lead the House Judiciary Committee, has signaled plans to investigate alleged self dealing involving Trump’s crypto businesses, presidential pardons granted to donors and law firms that reached agreements with the administration. Robert Garcia, who is expected to chair the House Oversight Committee, also plans to investigate Trump’s family businesses, associates and billionaire allies, potentially including Elon Musk. Following Tuesday’s election results, Garcia issued a two word statement: “Lawyer up.” The investigations could involve congressional subpoenas, demands for corporate records and testimony under oath from executives and administration officials.
