Exodus reports 20% rise in crypto swap volume to $377M in August

Exodus Movement closed August with its strongest swap numbers in recent months, processing $376.8 million in crypto exchange volume. That figure represents a roughly 20% jump from the $314.8 million the company recorded in July, a meaningful acceleration for a platform that competes in one of the more crowded corners of the self-custody wallet market. Monthly active users held flat at 1.4 million. Volume growing 20% while the user base stays put means existing customers are simply trading more, not that the platform is pulling in fresh faces at the same pace. Two businesses, both moving in the right direction Gross transaction volume on the payments side came in at $356.8 million, up roughly 6% from $338.0 million in July. The payments business has now grown close to 18% since June. CFO James Gernetzke offered a measured take on the results. “We are encouraged by the direction of exchange volumes on our platform,” Gernetzke said, while adding that one month of strong data should not be read as a confirmed trend.
