Fireblocks has appointed former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Acting Chairman Elad Roisman as its chief regulatory and policy officer and general counsel for regulatory affairs. Summary Roisman will oversee Fireblocks’ regulatory strategy, policy engagement, and legal work involving regulation. The former SEC commissioner will act as the company’s main contact with regulators and standards bodies. Fireblocks said its platform has secured more than $14 trillion in digital asset transactions. The appointment takes effect immediately, with Roisman joining the leadership team in Washington, D.C. Roisman will lead Fireblocks’ regulatory work Fireblocks said in an Aug. 17 press release that Roisman will direct its regulatory strategy and policy engagement while handling legal matters tied to financial rules. Based in Washington, D.C., he will also represent the company in discussions with regulators and organizations that set industry standards.
