Janus Henderson becomes validator on Avalanche network, deepens commitment to tokenized finance

A firm managing $373 billion in assets just volunteered to help run the plumbing on a public blockchain. Janus Henderson, one of the world’s largest asset managers, has become a validator on the Avalanche network, a role that means it will actively participate in securing the chain while simultaneously expanding its footprint in tokenized financial products. From fund manager to network operator The validator role also ties directly to funding on-chain credit projects. The firm has already launched two tokenized products through the Centrifuge platform: the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund (JAAA) and the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund (JTRSY). Both are deployed on Avalanche and several other blockchains including Ethereum. JAAA has grown to roughly $690 million in assets under management across eight different blockchains. Its portfolio consists of 36 AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations with zero defaults and no principal losses. CLOs are bundles of corporate loans repackaged into investable securities, and AAA is the highest credit rating available.
