Maven Robotics, a startup building general-purpose AI robots for warehouses and factories, has stepped out of stealth mode announcing a $100 million Series A round and active deployments of its technology. Who’s behind Maven The company was founded in 2024 by brothers Hamza Derbas and Khalid Derbas. Hamza serves as CEO and brings a background in autonomy engineering at Apple. Khalid holds the CFO title, covering the finance side of operations. The team also includes Michelle Nader and Troy Carter, though specific roles beyond the co-founders have not been detailed publicly. The company’s headcount is still relatively lean, estimated somewhere between 23 and 34 employees depending on the source. Prior to this Series A, Maven had raised roughly $18 million through a seed round and participation in accelerator programs. Investors in those earlier stages included Creator Fund, Phoenix Court, and Plug and Play. What Maven is building Maven’s focus is on general-purpose AI robots designed for industrial environments.
