Morpho hands its 2.2 million-user Mini App to Featherlend in latest decentralization play

Morpho, the decentralized lending protocol, is passing the keys to its Mini App on the World App over to Featherlend, an independent interface and curation provider. The underlying smart contracts stay exactly where they are. What changes is who runs the storefront. What the transition actually looks like Featherlend will take over front-end operations, branding, infrastructure maintenance, user support, and what Morpho calls “curatorial coordination” for the Mini App within World App. The app experience users interact with will remain functionally the same, just under new management. A governance proposal tagged MIP 132 is seeking a grant of $50,000 in MORPHO tokens to make the handoff smooth. That funding is earmarked for rebranding costs and a full year of operational support for Featherlend as it takes the reins. The proposal, posted in June 2026, frames the move as letting Morpho focus on what it does best: building and maintaining the protocol layer.
