OpenAI considers repackaging agent technology as SpaceXAI, Meta advance in personal assistants

The race to build your always-on AI butler just got a lot more crowded. SpaceXAI and Meta have both shipped consumer-facing personal assistant products in recent months, and now OpenAI is weighing how to reshape its existing agent technology to keep pace, opting to remix what it already has rather than start from zero.
