Robinhood Chain daily DEX volume hits new all-time high as memecoins and tokenized stocks collide

Robinhood’s own blockchain just crossed a milestone that most Layer 2 networks spend years chasing. Daily decentralized exchange volume on Robinhood Chain reached a new all-time high between $920 million and $944 million on August 25, surpassing its previous record of roughly $878 million set on July 11. For a chain that only went live on July 1, that’s a remarkably steep trajectory. Cumulative DEX volume had already topped $47 billion by mid-August, putting Robinhood Chain in the conversation with far more established Layer 2 ecosystems. What’s driving the numbers On the speculative side, memecoin trading has been a major catalyst. A token called CASHCAT briefly exceeded a $100 million market cap and contributed meaningfully to overall volume. At peak activity in July, roughly 16,000 new tokens were being created on the chain per day. On the more buttoned-up side, tokenized equities, called Stock Tokens, have found real traction. Daily trading volume in tokenized RWAs hit a record $85 million on August 25, with representations of stocks like NVDA and AAPL making up a significant share.
