Robinhood reports 15x year-over-year growth in event contracts

Robinhood’s event contracts business grew roughly 15 times year-over-year in August, capping off a stretch that has turned what was once a side experiment into the company’s most important revenue line. The numbers behind the surge During the second quarter of 2026, Robinhood pulled in $156 million in revenue from event contracts alone. That figure was more than 10 times what the segment generated in the same quarter last year. For context, equity trading revenue came in at $129 million in Q2. Crypto revenue trailed further at $100 million. Prediction markets didn’t just grow fast. They lapped the company’s legacy businesses. A total of 13.6 billion event contracts changed hands in Q2 2026, feeding into Robinhood’s total quarterly net revenue of $1.31 billion.
