A two-year-old AI startup just convinced investors it’s worth $180 million, and it did it by telling a car parts supplier that $12 million of their analysis was simply wrong. Sapien, a San Francisco-based company founded in October 2024, has closed a new funding round led by Ali Partovi of Neo at a $180 million valuation. The raise comes less than two years after the company’s $8.7 million seed round, led by General Catalyst in late 2024, putting Sapien’s valuation growth on a trajectory that most enterprise software companies take a decade to achieve.
