SparkLend absorbs 88,320 ETH from tracked whale wallets as big money bets on conservative DeFi

Over the past six months, whale wallets have funneled roughly 88,320 ETH into SparkLend, the lending protocol built on Ethereum’s Spark ecosystem. The protocol’s total market size now sits at around $7.39 billion, with Total Value Locked clocking in near $4.96 billion. Why whales are choosing SparkLend Back in April 2026, the KelpDAO/rsETH bridge exploit rattled the DeFi lending landscape, causing losses on competing platforms. SparkLend, which had preemptively avoided the risky collateral types involved, came through unscathed. Over $1 billion in fresh deposits flowed into the protocol in the aftermath. The collateral composition tells its own story. Wrapped staked ETH (wstETH) has historically been the dominant form of ETH-related collateral on the platform. Multiple wallets are now supplying positions exceeding $100 million in WETH and wstETH assets to SparkLend.
