Westinghouse Electric, the company whose reactor technology powers more than half the world’s operating nuclear plants, is preparing to go public at a valuation north of $50 billion. That’s a striking number for a company that changed hands for approximately $8 billion in late 2023. The company confidentially filed a draft registration statement with the SEC on July 31, 2026, keeping the specifics around share count and pricing under wraps for now. From $8 billion to $50 billion in under three years Brookfield Renewable Partners holds a 51% stake in Westinghouse, with Cameco Corp. owning the remaining 49%. The pair completed their acquisition in late 2023 at an enterprise valuation of roughly $8 billion.
